Science Department News
The science department welcomes its future biologist, geologists, physicists, chemists, and astronomers! Our course offerings are the following:
6th Grade
Honors students will study Life Science for the entire year, while the advanced and regular classes will complete the Comprehensive Science 1 course that covers Earth/Space, Physical, and Life sciences.
7th Grade
Honors students in 7th grade will earn high school credit and will be studying Earth / Space Science for the entire year. Advanced and regular classes will take the Comprehensive Science 2 course that covers Earth/Space, Physical, and Life sciences.
8th Grade
Our 8th grade students will have focus like lasers on physics and chemistry. At the end of the year, they will take the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS) Assessment that covers all three years of middle school science. Throughout the year these students will review the 6th and 7th grade standards to ensure their success. Honors classes will be earning high school credit for their course work and will be studying Physical Science.
***Students also take the EOC for their respective classes.
