Principal's Message

Mr. Yockel with Sammy the Sea Lion

Dear Southwest Middle School Families,

I can't believe that today marked the 100th day of the school year!  We are over the halfway point with 80 school days left.  We have started our practices for volleyball and will have our first intramural games on Wednesday 2/3 starting at 3:30 PM.  We will have spectators in the gym for the games with social distancing, masks, and temperature checks at the doors so that we can maintain safe conditions.  I am looking forward to seeing our Sea Lions playing!

Our wonderful art teacher, Ms. Schweickert, has put together a digital presentation featuring some of the outstanding artwork that her and Mr. Clay's students have completed.  Please follow this link to see the amazing at work that some of our Sea Lions have created!

Finally, our SAC committee will be meeting on Monday evening at 6 PM in the Media Center.

Thank you for your continued support of Southwest Middle School, and remember, Go Sea Lions!

Chuck Yockel

Principal
