Principal's Message

+Mr. Yockel with Sammy the Sea Lion

Dear Southwest Middle School families,

FSA writing testing for LaunchEd students will continue next Tuesday with our 6th grade students.  This is a paper and pencil test, so there will be no computer delays.  Pick up will be at 12:30 PM in the bus loop.  Make up testing information for all grade levels will be shared on Monday through language arts teachers.

Also, sixth grade students should have come home today with forms about the Health Hero event that we will have on campus for the TDAP vaccinations.  TDAP vaccinations are a requirement for seventh graders, so this is an excellent opportunity to get those vaccines.  If you are interested in your child getting the TDAP vaccinations on campus from nurses from the Health Hero organization, please complete the form and send it back to school Monday.  Your child will give it to their first period teacher.  For parents of LaunchEd students and anyone who needs the form, you can click this link to download the form and email it to [email protected]

Thank you for your continued support of Southwest Middle School, and remember, GO SEA LIONS!

Chuck Yockel
Principal
