SWMS Athletics

All athletic programs will stress academic success, good citizenship, physical fitness, character development, discipline, and outstanding sportsmanship. Our athletes represent our school and community and are expected to be student leaders with positive behavior. Students who use alcohol, tobacco or other drugs, have behavior or attendance problems, or violate other training rules as set by their coach, may lose their opportunity to participate.

Students must have and maintain a 2.0 GPA (C average) or above to be eligible to participate in athletic programs. In order for athletes to participate in daily practices and/or games, they must be present for at least four consecutive class periods that day.

Students must complete a satisfactory medical examination during each academic school year in which they plan to participate. Sport physical forms require a doctor's signature. Please see OCPS Physical Packet on the Physical tab on this website for more information.
